LIBRARY UPDATE 03-12-2021
We are now allowing children 3rd grade and older to use 2 specially assigned patron computers. Only 2 children at a time allowed in the computer room at this time. Adults have access to all 3 open computers. A 30 minute time period remains as needed. The Early Learning computer is also now open for the younger children.
A meeting room policy has been adopted now for upcoming use of the newly enlarged meeting area. Call the library for more information on its use.
The Lake View Public Library is now open to adults and children. Three of our five patron computers are now available in our computer room at this time. There is a 1 hour time limit unless no one is waiting. Patrons may read newspapers and check out magazines if they choose although there is no way to keep them sanitized so read at one's discretion. Keurig coffee is again available by asking at the checkout desk. Patrons are still asked to make use of our sanitizer upon entry. Three special programs are now scheduled in June as part of the Summer Reading Program . Our south door is also now open during library hours and is handicap accessible.
SOMETHING NEW FOR KIDS!
Pre-school - elementary age children may now receive monthly take home kits provided by the Sac County Conservation Department. The April kits are now available and focus on bats . Special kits will also be provided as part of the 2021 Summer Reading events. Participants may call to be sure and get a kit or come on in during regular library hours. If more kits are needed we are able to request more. This is a special free service provided by the SCCD and we thank them for it.
