Welcome to the Lake View Public Library website. We are located in the same town as beautiful Black Hawk Lake. This lake is the southern most natural glacial lake in North America. Be sure and check out the various services available.


Patron completed puzzles

Our latest completed puzzle by our "puzzle gang"! There is one being
worked on almost daily for all our puzzle fans that can be found in
the "youth nook" area of the library.

The addition project is now completed. Although there are still some interior items to be added, patrons can now come see what has been added and what is still to come. 
  A meeting room policy has been adopted now for upcoming use of the newly enlarged meeting area. Call the library for more information on its use.

The Lake View Public Library is  open  to adults and children. TWO adults only are allowed in our computer room at this time. There is a 1 hour time limit unless no one is waiting. No children computer or WII usage is being allowed at this time.  Patrons may read newspapers and check out magazines if they choose although there is no way to keep them sanitized so read at one's discretion. Any Covid restrictions in effect will be posted on the front door. Our south door is also now open during library hours



Pre-school - elementary age children may now receive monthly take home kits provided by the Sac County Conservation Department.  The Jauary kits are available . Owl information and craft included. Participants may call to be sure and get a kit or come on in during regular library hours. If more kits are needed we are able to request more. This is a special free service provided by the SCCD and we thank them for it.


Changes: No Keurig coffee service at this time.

        AFTERNOON HOUR CHANGES FOR MONDAY-FRIDAY : Hours will now be 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The monthly Non-Fiction Book Club resumes on the third Wednesday of each month now at 10:00 a.m.


The monthly window display resumes Monday, February 1, 2021 at 10.00 a.m. in our new addition. February speaker will be Dr. Jon Quinn and his special autographed book collection. Masks and social distancing.





This library has over 1,500 dvds for patron checkouts? A 2019 inventory just completed!  Come browse through the many available in the following designated locations:

Family Friendly, Adult, Musicals, Westerns, Classics, Non-Fiction & cartoons.

Our patrons  have a choice of a variety of coffees or tea, hot cider and even hot chocolate during all open library hours.
