Take a proctored exam

If you are taking a class from a remote institution you may need to take a proctored exam. This library offers a proctoring service to the public.

How the library's proctoring service works:

  • The service is available during normal operating hours
  • Students being proctored will be placed in the computer room, the back room, or the front table, as is appropriate.
  • It is the student's responsibility to see that the information about the exam is forwarded to the library.
  • Staff contact should be Librarian Kay Montano, although Assistant Librarian Marcia Hummel may also act as a proctor.  Both have been teachers in their careers.
  • If tests need to be faxed to the instructors, it is the student's responsibility to pay the normal fees for faxing. If they are to be sent through USPS, the student needs to provide a stamped, addressed envelope for that purpose.
  • Instructors should send the test materials to lvl@netins.net
  • Both written and online tests can be accommodated.
This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
