Meet Kay Montano, Lake View Public Library director

Kay Montano (Lierman) is a native of Lake View(from age 2) and a 1962 graduate.  She has an A.A. degree from Stephens College in Columbia, MO.; a B.S. degree in elementary ed. from Eastern N.M. University in Portales, N.M.; and an M.E degree with a  minor in reading from Eastern N.M. University.  She was an elementary school teacher for over 31 years in both a public school and private school in New Mexico.  She lived in Miami Beach, Florida, for two years where she worked as a teacher's aide and parttime librarian at Sunset Christian Acedemy in Kendall, Fl. before retiring to Lake View in 2006. She became the library director in July 2008.
